TransNanoForm was established in 2013 as part of Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery at UNC-Chapel Hill (CNDD), the world leader in nanomedicine and drug delivery research. The CNDD is a joint venture of UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the UNC School of Medicine and is a component of the Carolina Institute for Nanomedicine (CINaM).

Translational Nanoformulation Core Facility (TransNanoForm) implements CNDD mission of accelerating translation of new molecular-entity discoveries into human clinical trials through advanced formulation techniques.
